Look At What I Found On Top Of My Brug
Jeepers, Creepers, whered'a get them Peepers!!! LOL
Love the pic cannagirl!
Cute now, but then they grow up...Oh wait, buds not kids;-)
Yes, cute...very:-))
Wonderful picture! I so long to have frogs in my garden but the few that have come were killed by stray kitties. :( I once had a baby garter snake show up but for its safety, I captured it and took it to a safe environment.
Tussee
I have those little guys around the pond. They are adorably aren't they?
Oh, NOW I see. Gotta get more coffee! Very cute visitor! We have a grey tree frog that has taken over the bluebird house. He sits there, elbows hooked over the edge looking out over the world and isn't afraid of us at all.
i used to live in a lovely townhouse on hilton head island, south carolina. we had a deck off of the living room and in the evening i would go out there to listen to the critters of the night, birds, bugs, and the occassional bull alligator. one particular evening i opened up the sliding screen door to step out and PLOP....something landed on my forehead. i was absolutely terrified that it was a giant spider but i could only scream and not move at all. my dh came running and when he saw my face he started laughing uncontrollably. a lovely green tree frog had fallen from the screen when i opened it and landed right on my face. i couldn't figure out why he was there, since we were two stories up, until i realized that the living room lights attracted insects and that they attracted the frog. he/she was there every night for several months but never did land on my forehead again.
With all the rain we had the first part of the year, a large colony of green tree frogs have taken up residence on the north side of the house. I have several large tubs with water lilies and one for the dog that provide a source of water for them. In the evening the light in the living room attracts all sorts of flying insects for them to eat. The frogs keep our two indoor cats entertained for hours. Unfortunately, the frogs sometimes become food for several large toads and a garter snake. I try to relocate the toads when I can catch them. The snake doesn't appear to be around anymore. There are a bunch of tadpoles in one of the tubs. If they mature into frogs before winter sets in, I wonder if they will survive?
OMG I about split a seam picturing your face when the wee green froggie splatted right into the middle your your forehead. "There was a little girl, who had a little curl, er frog, right in the middle of her forehead -----"
Cute little tree frog. I had one jump onto my glasses one day. Such a strange feeling. I could feel one of it's feet on my face and I'm really not a lover of frogs stuck to my skin. LOL!
dun1kirk, your bloom appears to have come from a suaveolens type brugmansia. There are so many of them now that it's not possible to visually identify them by name. Just enjoy it, and to be sure that you don't share it with a wrong name, I would tag it as a No ID. Nice soft pink color.
There are several tree frogs that live in my GH. I clean it out in the fall before the "big move in". I bug bomb it to rid it of the summers critters that have moved in. I always scour the whole place for my tree frogs & lizzards, move them outside until the "bomb" is done, & I blow everything out with the blower. They really like to sit high up on the Brug leaves.
I have a resident toad, I call Ernie. He/she has been her for 3 seasons now. I have no clue where it goes in the winter, but it's back in late spring. Bigger every year. I only have the one toad & it was brought to me by a friend that lives in another area, & has many toads. I'd never guessed it would actually stick around.
This tiny tree frog was on a Coleus leaf in my garden.
So glad you could see the little frog. I had emergency gallbladder surgery 3 weeks ago, and thought that maybe my eyesight had been affected. I couldn't see the frog. LOL
I love frogs! These pics are adorable!
Great pic ATB, that frog looks very happy in there.
Leopard frog, what a pretty frog. Looks similar in shape to a bullfrog only smaller.

An archaeologist friend of my husband's told me once that what we commonly call tree fross (peepers) here are actually bog frogs. I like the alliteration, at least.
Thanks BjsBloomers. I thought he looked like he was doin the half pipe in there lol.
Davidwv: I like your leopard frog. I saw those when we used to go up to Rainy Lake, Minnesota ! They are so cool.
Makes sense about the bog frogs they sure like water. When I was first in LA and it rained at night I could hear the strangest sounds. So I went out to investigate and found that the 'sounds' were some crazy frogs that liked to sit in the drainage pipes in the ditches. They sorta echoed when they croaked- it was wierd lol.
Our "Tree Frogs" here are not Bull Frogs. Bull frogs get to be huge & tree frogs stay relatively small in comparison. We only have Tree & Bull frogs & common Toads here. This pic is a Tree frog, they can be many colors from light grey to bright green to coppery color. Our Bull Frogs are very flighty & I haven't gotten any pics of them yet.
Ncjsgram what a cute story. LOL, I think it would have scared me too.
Angel_tree, maybe it want be too much longer before you get to move back home. Doesn't your husband work in the hospital? Two years sign on?
Davidwv & Bjsbloomers love your cute frog pictures.
Thanks everyone for enjoying my frog picture.
Frogs Rule!
LOL, Bjsbloomers they do in my neck of the woods for sure.
