Bull dogs smell beyond words

My neighbor asked me to tend to her dog and her boyfriends dogs while they were away for the week end. The boy friend has 2 bull dogs that were bathed just days prior to me tending to them. I let them out of the dog run at 8pm and fed them and put them in their cage/ kennel kept in her kitchen.And then in the AM went over and let them out and fed them. By morning the stench from the bull dogs was so great and awful I was going to throw up if I had to stay in the house another minute. I was totally unaware of this w/ bull dogs. How do people live with these dogs? I imagine this stench will permeate the walls, carpet etc of the house and she will never be able to sell this house as-is.
