Happy birthday Marcy!

Long Beach, CA

Oh...how nice it is to have sweet friends like you all. I did have a wonderful day. The kids all called and showered me with love and good wishes. Went out to eat with Paul, my sister, and niece, and spent a chunk of the afternoon playing plants. What more could a gal ask for? (except maybe not really getting another year older..ha ha) :-D
Thanks all.

Hope your birthday was "AWESOME" Marcy.
Also, hope you are doing OK with the fires. I lived in LB, and San Diego during WW2 and don't remember ever hearing of such devastation as what these fires are doing to people's lives. I pray for all of you in CA.

Happy Belated Birthday Marcy.

Marcy, I hope you are holding up out there with everything that's going on, I read in the news that now there are air quality issues...too many things can happen in California, I would be too much of a chicken to live there! Plus all the sunshine would probably depress the heck out of me, I need gloomy weather sometimes.

Hope you had a happy birthday!

Long Beach, CA

Thanks Jen and everyone again. Things are better here now. There are still a lot of fires going, but the hot dry winds of the first of the week are gone and we are back to the nice coastal breezes with foggy mornings. The winds are now blowing from the ocean to the mountains so all the sooty air is going the other way from me. I am only 4 miles from the ocean here so all is well with me. However, there are lots of homeless people now and many others still in evacuation centers, so the crises is far from over, but I & mine are OK where we are. Thanks for the thoughts, and keep the prayers up for those still in distress.
Marcy
