Pink Spotted Hawk Moth

These guys just started showing up this week. There have been about 3 going nuts over my brugs. They are so cool, but I never knew they like to dive-bomb people!! They are huge!!

Great pics! Their wings look to small to hold up that fat body!

Lucky you Felicia! Everybody loves the Brugs!

Thanks!
Have you ever held your hand underneath one of these guys when they are hovering around a flower? You can actually feel a breeze. Cori tried to act disinterested in them when I told her to go outside, but then she gained interest when she saw how big they are! Freaked her out a bit. :)

Great photos! Seeing that made me look over my brugs. Something has been eating the leaves...I believe there are a few species of moths that uses brugmansias as a larval host but I couldn't find any caterpillars. The 'cool front' came in today so am thinking perhaps they hunkered down and hid somewhere.

My brugs are starting to bloom again so I'll have to make sure to check on them periodically - they are on a side of the house I usually don't venture over to.

Thanks again for sharing those photos...and re-newing my interested in the brugs I've neglected :o)

brugs ... neglected? oh no!! I can't believe those two words were used in the same sentence!
Yeah, there are many cats that like to eat brugs and daturas. That's where I have issues. :(
