Clueless Passionflora beginner,Want more passiflora

Chesapeake, VA(Zone 8a)

I am new to this family. I absolutely love my 2 flowers. I have, which was a secert until it bloomed (red ) and a( purple, white & a hint of blue). I want a few more but don't know how to root them. Can I clip a few sprigs and root it in water then plant or do I have to use seeds? If so , what do they look like? Are they on the flower or does the plant produce seed pods?

Wow, I'll try to answer. Yes, you can clip cuttings and root in water.. I have never tried it, but I've sent cuttings to people. Eclipse (I think) told me to cut about 6-8 inches of a growing tip. The seed will come after the flower forms a fruit. I've only gotten a few fruits here in zone 5b. I think you let the fruit dry on the vine, or until it falls off... I'm not sure....this will bump your post back up, someone will help us to know.

Thank you so much for trying to help me. I will try to root a few clippings. As far as a fruit... well I have not seen any on my vine ,I probably missed it if there was one .

There's always next year.. and Welcome to the Passiflora Forum and to your new flower passion! If you have enough cuttings, try rooting hormone and soil or soiless mix and see which works or works best...
