I like it, too. I have grown these for years but never thought to photograph their very interesting seed pods. The green pos are very nice also. Sigh.... maybe next year.

Thank you pajaritomt, I appreciate your compliment. The plant takes credit for the beauty, I can only capture the image. I still have the plant and it's opening up more seed pods, I have a little time left to capture some more images if weather and wind permit. It's now in it's 3rd year with me.

I must say kniphofia gave me the inspiration I needed to follow it though it's cycle. She was observant enough to see it when it first opened and kind enough to let me know it was noticed. When you have a photographer like [that] notice your picture - You pay attention!!

And we all benefit from the work of the two of you. These details, in addition to being beautiful, are extremely useful. I am currently collecting seed from mine for a DG member who expressed an interest. Your picture will help seed collectors.
