Time to get out your Blankets

Okay, well "in theory" it is time to get the blankets out. Here it is, mid-October and temp's are still hovering around 80. Bizzare.

In any case, I do need to get off my hind quarters and get my blankets washed and ready for cool weather. I keep forgetting to bring them home from the barn. I'll probably take the medium weight to a laundrette rather than send it out to be cleaned by a service.

How do you prepare your blankets for Winter? Any particular products that you swear by?
