OK so I have been reorganizing the freezer down stairs (something I dont do often enough )so what I want to know is who left the two packages( wrapped in newspaper) of Boerwors (pork and beef sausages) from Old Country Sausage Shop in Raymond tucked in the back of the top shelf?
Prairie Round up left over?
Hee. Hee, I did. Haven't yet found a butcher here who makes boerwors. It is a so. african sausage. A bit spicy if properly made.
Hope you will enjoy it Carol. I forgot it. Glad you found it before it became freezer burned.

Hah!
I was guessing it was somebody from Edmonton!
Think I bought it at the Farmers Market in Calgary. We went there really early one morning, before we came to see you.

ah surprise leftovers are the best kind

Does this mean your garden is done....... if you have time to clean the freezer?
I always use the gardening to reduce my housework! There isn't less housework just it gets moved on the priority list.
Ann
Gardening is certainly not done yet. I am gradually cutting down anything that looks floopy or sad , otherwise it stays up.
I was not cleaning the freezer (although I should have!) just reorganizing a couple of shelves to accomodate some cooking I was doing last week.
Here are some pics I took on the weekend.

Your fall color's are super!
Do you have your Semp's put to bed or do they need anything extra? I seem to have been inspired by you and now have a "hen and chick" bed.

Ann:
my 3 containers of semps are still sitting out on the patio - I am just going to put them in the veggie garden in the dirt for the winter since that seems to be what the grower is advising. I am going to leave the ceramic container out also. All my others are planted in the beds so nothing to do with them.
Carol
Thank you.

Carol, Beautiful photos taken in the early morning! The light is fantastic. I can't remember a fall in Calgary this warm . Is this my imagination? I don't keep good records. Theresa
Theresa we had the same thing happen about 3-4 years ago - dont remember exactly as I dont keep track of weather anymore. The first killing frost was so late that all the leaves on my Laurel Leaf Willow ( which does not drop until December anyway) turned gold and then bronze. It was gorgeous - maybe now I have a camera I can get a pic if it happens again.
