Avian flu

london, United Kingdom

On a business trip I had to go to Indonesia….I stayed there for 2 days. I had completely forgotten about Avian flu and for dinner I ate chicken there. Do you think I can contract avian flu in this way? I have read on http://www.drugdelivery.ca/bird-flu.aspx that on mere contact with the infected hen or within their surrounding one can get the disease. It has been already 1 week since I have returned…..I haven’t experienced any symptom of having bird flu. So, does this mean that I haven’t got the disease? Should I still do the avian flu test?

There is no evidence that eating properly cooking poultry or eggs can cause infection. ........quoted from article
