Birds at Bamburgh castle

Cramlington, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I visited this magnificent castle at Bamburgh yesterday (I'm so enjoying being back where I grew up), and saw some lovely birds.

Here's a jackdaw at the castle.

And a rook in the churchyard at St Aidan's.

Then he flew up onto the wall.

Then we went onto the wonderful beach and saw lots of sea birds, mainly gulls, oystercatchers and curlews.

Ahhh, home from home!!

That last pic looks like the rocks at Stag Rocks?

For them's as might be wondering, they're winter-plumage Black-headed Gulls, 2 immature Herring Gulls (the big ones), and an Oystercatcher..
