Aroid Plant question

I have ordered
Alocasia 'Borneo Giant' (Aroid Plant)
Alocasia 'Macrorrhiza' (Aroid Plant)
from Stokes Tropicals
and expect them to ship soon

and I am undecided
1. should I plant them in their targeted locations in my garden (zone 9)
or
2. In my heated greenhouse for the winter then outside in the spring

I'd go with option 2 Jim. Even if those are rated hardy for your area, they don't get up to their hardiness potential until they're fully established in-ground.
