Planted some near my strawberries. Had Borage blooms all summer. We have had several light frosts, but it still looks great.
Mid October & Borage is still going
Mine bit the dust in the l00 degree weather, but I have babies coming up everywhere from seeds that dropped off the mother plant.
I didn't grow boarage this year but I had done so in the past. They lasted till frost. You are in Zone 2a?? It must be a hanger-on, super species?
We haven't had a true killing frost yet...every year may be a bit different. Some plants definately affected by the low night temps, but it still is quite warm during the day. Still going is Parsley, Chives bloomed again, Chocolate mint still in bloom, Rosemary going strong. etc. Most of the tender herb perenials I cover with about a foot of peat. They usually make it thru the winter fine.
