I'm guilty, I jumped right in with both hands pounding the old keyboard before I took the time to check out Dave's Garden completely. Just found the Welcome Mat and realized one should introduce themselves. My humble apologize's. What a pea brain, I got so excited, like a kid in a candy store. There's so many wonderful forums just like trying to choose Hershey's with Almond's or Snicker's!
Nana, Thank You Sweetie! She's the one who sent me here. I knew this had to be a great site if Nana recommended it. Top's in my book already, and can't wait to know you all.
I'm a new flower gardener, just started growing perennials last fall. I retired two years ago and now have the time to spend in the garden. Before I grew mainly veggie's and annuals and DH did most of the yard work. Now the grass is slowly vanishing and DH is one Happy Camper. I came here searching for information on plants and found so much more!
Thanks & Blessings,
Texaslily 8-)

Welcome to Dave's Garden, Texaslily!
Howdy, there Neighbor. {that's they way they think we talk in Texas}...LOL. I want to take this time to tell you welcome to the garden. Your sense of humor and awe reflect a lot of what the garden is about. There is a great wealth of information here, and a sincere sense of family. May you days be filled with sunshine and a generous portion of DG.

Welcome Texaslily from your Louisiana neighbor gardener. Is Del Rio in west Texas ? Is that near the Mexican border where they grow a lot of vegetables and produce ? I may be confused again. I do have those moments. LOL I know you are going to just love this site. It is Terrific. Looking forward to hearing from you or seeing your posts in the forums. Pam aka Lazy Daisy
Welcome Texaslily to Dave's Garden from your other Louisana neighbor gardener, too.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I love DG and all the gardeners who come here to share their experience and lifes with us.I can't get going untill I check DG every day, all through the day and night. LOL, can't get enough of you wonderful people! Gardeners are the Best, especially on DG! Lazydaisy, yes Del Rio is in West Texas about two miles from the Mexico border. There are no vegetable farms locally but a few miles south of here there is. I have a huge veggie garden that I grow veggie's in and give to the orphanage in Mexico. If you like warm weather, everyone come on down. Oh, but we do have a couple months it's so hot you can fry a egg outside. But it is so nice to go out Thanksgiving and Christmas to gather fresh veggie's and flowers for the holidays. Some winters we do have a light freeze but it's been a long time since we've had any really cold weather. Good for these old bones of mine!
Blessings,
T-Lily 8-)
