Plants Gessiegail sent

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

These were a gift from Gail. She had them sent to me. The one is AV Lying Eyes, larger Begonia is Eeyore, and the other one is Mikado.

Thank you much Gail for the plants.

Sorry I couldn't for the life of me get a clear picture. Poor lighting I think.

How nice, Makshi! Isn't Miss Gail a sweetie?

We have such a great group of people on this forum and here in the World of Dave's Garden!

Just went to avsa.org to check out AV 'Lying Eyes' ... she's gorgeous! Love the fantasy blooms!

Gail,

I don't think that one is going to make it. It only has one leaf that is wilting and it looks very sad. I will let you know how it does in a few days.

Makshi......................if that one dies, please dmail me............for some reason I have two of that kind in terrariums and they are very healthy.............if it is the other one you wanted so badly, i would ask LL to replace it..................

whenever i get new plants I put them in ICU.........that would be a dome.......of some kind.........please let me know because LL usually sends such big healthy plants............I am very surprised........

Wonderful!

What a great selection of plants you received Diane! I can only grow begonias in a terrarium atmosphere unless they are angel wings :(

I saw the most awesome looking variety of begonias at Wal Mart this past weekend. I should have taken pictures as there was one in particular that had me drooling!! I had to pass them up as they were huge (and only $5.47!) and I don't have a terrarium nearly big enough. LOL

Brenda,

My WalMart didn't have any. Darn I would have loved to see them. I grow mine in self watering pots and they do well. I just don't tell them anything diff. and they don't find out.

LOL, I'll keep that in mind, I just won't tell them they like terrariums at my house!

I saw the same variety of begonias at HD too but they wanted $9.97 for the same size pots. I have been searching around here at Dave's trying to find the one that had me drooling. I had seen all the other Rexes they had (which were very pretty) but the one I loved had a round succulent looking leave with swirls of colors!

I swear if they still have it when I go down at the end of the month I'm just going to spend the 5 bucks and enjoy it as long as I can!! I'm still regretting not getting it and I hate that! LOL
