Can't believe they have lasted so long

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Amazing. Calgary middle of October. I have not ever had my containers last this long. We have had frosts, but I guess there's enough protection between the buildings.

Wow, those are beautiful planters! I couldn't even guess how to plant for a zone 2a. Most don't know how to do a zone 9b semi-tropical. If I could get containers to grow like yours, without frying by noontime, I'd be a happy camper!

Joanne...those are beautiful. Is that Calibrachoa (million bells)? I love them, but mine sadly went to flower heaven when the heat came. Looks like they like the cooler weather. Now that it's getting a little cooler I'm ready to try again.

I water them quite a bit, but I think fertilizing them has been the key to keep them going. The Blue Wave Petunias were started from seed & seemed super all summer (heat , cold & aphids didn't stop them). There is Yellow Calibrachoa, Scavola & a soft purple Bacopa in the baskets. They are a wire basket, with moss & a plastic liner. I used hanging basket Smartcote slow release fert. @ planting time &used Miracle Grow Ultra Bloom in August & September.

Beautiful flowers Joanne...makes me anxious for next spring when all the fun will start again.
Thanks for posting...Rose
