Brug Spacing?

North Augusta, SC(Zone 8a)

I'm working on a new bed for brugs and the info on the plantfiles states anywhere from 4 to 10 ft apart.
How far apart do you plant your brugs?
Thanks,
Alice

Well I have seen some that are next door to each other and some that are scattered about..just depending on what your layout is..Mine are scattered about since my front and backyard together is 5 acres.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I have very very limited space.. I planted 2' apart.. (seedlings mostly) and it was way too close if I were to keep them all. Since they are not all permanent, and I can dig.. I took a chance.
Next year, no seedlings in the ground.. and at least 6' apart. (I hope) LOL

Dripping Springs, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some planted 3' apart because mi irrigated space is limited if I couldnt water with timers I couldnt keep up. But they do ok I think 5 to six would be best though.

Alvin, TX(Zone 9a)

Mine 2 are about 3.5 feet apart, and it's working fine thus far. They will be left here unless there's a problem.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

mine are about 6 ft apart which seems to be ok so far

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

It depends on whether you can overwinter them or not. Here, they don't last through the winter so I can plant them closer. but if they are staying in the ground and coming back every year I would give them more space (I am not sure if zone 8 is warm enough to overwinter so please excuse my ignorance)

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

Space permitting, for permanent or semi-permanent bedding places, I'd say a minimum of 4'. Better would be 5' or 6'.
