I'm looking for cannas for postage. Yellow or orange would be great.
Thanks
Tina
Looking...
I have a few yellow seeds that I can send.
I have red that I will send for postage as soon as they are dug and dried a bit. If interested let me know.
I have some yellow cannas that are shorter (around 3 feet) that you can have for postage, if you like.
I'd love to have them!! LMK how much postage
Tina
Does anyone know if cannas are salt tolerant? I live in Cocoa Beach and a lot of things won't tolerate the salt in the air from the ocean.
here's an answer for you: http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:UjQc-bkVfJgJ:pender.ces.ncsu.edu/files/library/71/Salt%2520Tolerant%2520Plants.pdf+are+cannas+salt+tolerant%3F&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us

Stella---I just want to compliment you on a very attractive garden setting!
Jan
your right Jan, Stellas garden is awesome looking!
Very beautiful color combo's, I'm really liking that purple salvia...gorgeous with the orange and reds!
Why, thank you all. One of the reasons I love container gardening is that I can get them to peak beauty and then design with the color/size combinations. The only plant in the picture that's actually in the ground is the salvia.
Stella-
A lot of my gardening is also done with containers, gives a gardener so much more flexability. When one of my plants, such as my columbine, is through blooming, I can move the container out of view and replace it with something else---makes the garden ever-changing! I also have my cannas growing in containers. At the end of the season I just bring in the pots w/cannas and wait til I see new growth in the spring...
Tina-
Were you able to obtain the cannas that you were looking for?
Happy Gardening ALL!!!
Jan
Tina,
I'll have to get back with you next week. I'm planning a birthday party for my Mom so that's taking priority above everything right now. Thanks for your patience!
Danita
P.S. Nice garden Stella! :)
Thanks so much! Your canna offerings were truely wonderful.
Tina
Teresa, Thank you so much for the hyperlink. I am fortunate to have several of those already and sources for a few more. I would really love pink cannas, shorter ones if available. I have double peach hibiscus cuttings and jasmine (not carolina).
pink cannas are a hot item this year arent they!
Im gonna try to have some for next years bulb swap.
Im just finishing up this years and already planning next...LOL...
Now for the not so much fun part, planting them all....and guarding them against the dreaded squirrels.....
