I like to use 24 inch square plastic covered Masonite for work boards.

This leaf was 26 inches and had to be placed on the diagonal

That's gorgeous!
I wish I could be artistically inclined like that (don't ask what happened with my daughter's molding project).
You did an incredible job with that!!

Gotta run for some more POP and finish beefing up the back for more strength.

After it has served it's purpose it will be tossed ( always bothers me to do that ).

Just thought you would like to see the fine detail you can get with POP.

You started it .. heeeeeeeeeee
OK what did happen to your daughters molding project ☺ ?

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Sigh, let's just say that I should have been plastered when trying to do the mold. Uh, apparently, my stirring is not fast enough for the "quick drying" plaster -- they are not kidding. So, it turned into a lumpy heart that we ended up putting in the butterfly garden upside down, so that my daughter's friends wouldn't laugh so much. Yes, I need to stick to just gardening, needlepoint, cross stitch, knitting. Anything that deals with plaster or paint, I've been told by my 10 year old, to avoid like the plaque.

LOL,
Cute story and it did make memories for both of you which IMO is priceless ♥

Cool beans!! Just like I started with a frosty pink brug leaf to begin with..I have Whiskers which I want to do a serrated edge leaf next.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Neat I will be waiting to see it.

Start just inside the outer edges then fill in the rest. This helps keep the 'crete from running over the edge and getting raggedy looking.

Oh I love that! Too cool..

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Well to keep it looking natural..I follow the edge of leaf with sand, then I put the concrete in the middle of leaf and it gets pushed out to the sides. it stops right almost to the edge....

I forgot to add my pic..

POP is "Plaster of Paris."

Oh, and Scooter, I meant to mention this earlier -- I love your sign. Unfortunately, if you threaten me with that, then I'd threaten to leave my hyped up kid with you!! LOL!!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

June you can get pop in a large bag at home depot , etc for real cheap but be sure you keep it dry.

i_lily .................. thanks for the warning ....... lol ☺
