DG Photo contest

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

did you see the notice about the DG photo contest? There are some terrific photos on these threads, and some fab photographers - I'm on record as a fan of Murmur's photos. And pixy's had some stunners. And then there is Tilly's caged cat for the pet section! I think we should make a concerted efforted to scoop the trophy's with PNW's photos.

Good idea. And don't forget Poochella's Dahllia photos . . .

And to add to that I think you should post your pics of the the trees in Taming the wild garden I think they are awesome. Like the old tree in I think 2006 or 2005 Photos. I just love them.

Oh, Tills, really? I thought they look like 'survey' photos, nothing special. Hmmm, I am sitting up straight. Thank you.

And at risk of sounding like a mutual admiration society - do you mind showing the kitty photo here? She looks like a christmas card. Its gorgeous.

Have you entered your photo's yet for DG? I don't know when the deadline is - but my guess is we should start transferring some snaps soon. Pix, they have a section for insects, and I wondered if you would add your dragon fly photos. They are great. We were all rivetted by it.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Cool pictures Laurie! I love the shadowing.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I like the second one it has a shadow of a flower on the left bottom
Love the sun and shadowing.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Very cool pictures.... I like the vertical one for the tight cropping of the sides so that it's just crocosmia, and the horizontal one for the cropping at the top so the leaves really fill the frame...huh, guess I like both!! :)

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Thank you - so that's one for horizontal, one for vertical, and one for both. So its a definate for entering, but I still don't know which. Flip a coin time.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

You could enter them both one in the right category and the other in miscellaneous or both in the same and let the members vote on them, just a thought. They both are great.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Beautiful pics, Laurie. I'd love them enlarged and framed in my living room!!

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Okay, I've put my photos in. I decided on the horizontal format of the Crocosmia Paniculatum (bulbs/corms) , the larger piece of Birch bark (trees), and a photo of my beloved pumpkins under vegetables/fruits.

Is anyone else entering?

So. Puget Sound, WA(Zone 8b)

I entered some photos. They're really just snapshots I particularly like. I just hope others enjoy them.

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

I'm thinking about entering.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I entered just changed one of mine, I like the one I changed but the other one is my screen saver, and its been haunting me. pick me .....pick me ... so I changed it.

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)
