It took me awhile to get the picture as she flew away the first time she was in my yard. But I kept the camera outside and got her the second time she was feeding on my duranta. Anyone know what kind of butterfly she is? I checked in my butterfly books and there wasn't anything close to what she looks like. Today was the first time I have seen her in my yard :)

Siouxsie40,
Also -- There are just SO many informative pages around here.
In case you didn't know, there is a Bug ID page to upload questionable bugs.
Glance through it and a lot of times, you can find your same bug.

That is gorgeous!! I bet you were excited to see that one! Beautiful picture. :)
Thanks so much pford1858!! That sure does look just like her!
Also thanks for the bug id info. I didn't realize about the bug id page.
I appreciate your help!

Thanks indiana_lily :) yes I was very excited to see her! She was fluttering around and all I could see was white. I knew she wasn't a Gulf Fritillary which I have alot of. I was actually on the phone with my daughter when I saw her the second time and I just hung up on her so I wouldn't miss taking her photo again LOL

Gorgeous butterfly Lisa.

Very nice! I've been teaching my parents about butterflies and the White Peacock has become Dad's favorite. He's a mailman and spots them while he's on his route. I saw two of the White Peacocks last weekend when I was out and about. They sure are different than any of the other butterflies we have around here.

That's a beauty! Wished we had them in my area.
