Is anyone going to the Ohio National in Columbus the weekend of November 10th-11th?
I'm going ,arriving Friday the 9th

Also lots of kinds of poultry for sale......best pick of sale birds is Friday night or Saturday am
cheapest prices are Sunday am cause the show is over at 12 noon

i would love to go but probably will not be going till next year by the look of of it. mabe next year i'll get to meet some of you that would be loads of fun to meet and talk chicken!!

Boy! This is a tough one. Best choice is Friday night but cheapest purchase is Sunday.....I know I can't stay all weekend but a couple of trips might work out. I'm waiting on soccer tournament schedules and basketball schedules.
Dumb question, after showing, do you keep your birds? I'm only sort of getting familiar with the way fairs work and I know some things have to be sold and some don't. I have no idea about shows.

Birds in a show can't be sold till after judging is done
I rarely sell my birds that I'm showing
I sometimes bring xtras to shows to sell
It never fails
If I don't bring any ...thats when people are asking me if I have any for sale.....
I've never heard of any that HAD to be sold
Cool! I wasn't sure. I only have minimal information on the local fair. I know you have to give up two rabbits as meat. :( I don't think our chickens have any extraordinary breeding but several of them look very nice. We do have several with beards and ear tufts too though. Maybe we will come gawk so I have a chance to meet you. :)

I m sure going to try and go. Drag my kids iwt me. I wonder if i can get my FIL to go wit me. He can't do to much walking he is on oxygen. But he is a tough old bird lol :)

I lost the dare. :( I wonder what the penalty is.
Hubby worked Friday and we had a basketball practice that night so no traveling. Hubby was off yesterday but we had four basketball games, a soccer dinner and party. We were on the road from 8:30am until 10pm. Hubby has to work again today since he was off yesterday and we have two basketball practices, a run through the store and a birthday party tonight.
Sorry CC! I really wanted to see you! I asked the kids if they wouldn't like to skip practices and go. It did not go over well. LOL

Well i didn't get to go either, to much moving stuff to storage. got everything in the barn just a few things left.
I haven't even touched the house yet !! It took me and my fil 2 weeks to do the small barn HA .
