Brug losing its leaves

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi there,

I have my Brug (not sure which one it is) in a 14 inch pot and I keep it out on the deck all summer and this year when I brought it in at first frost, it has starting losing leaves now. The Brug is about six feet high and was just so full and bushy.

It was the prettiest it has ever been this year too.

The leaves are not turning color or anything....just dropping.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joanne

Probably shock. It's best to move them inside when the outside temp is the same as inside. I'm sure it will grow new leaves.

Thank you for the reply and I surely do hope so....yes when we brought it in off the deck it was almost freezing....I am so glad!

Joanne if you brought it into the house it could also partly be the humidity side of shock. If you don't have greenhouse-type humidity then the plant will have to shed all it's leaves and grow new smaller ones that can take it a little better.
I'm with Shirley that it will grow new leaves, but it may want to finish dropping all of them except for the smallest new leaves at the top before it does.

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply...it seems to have slowed down now but it dropped all the top leaves....I sure do hope they will come back.
