A Texan Crescent, Anthanassa texana, wow how lucky can we get.

Yes, that is a pretty one! This month is a real active one for butterflies, I've seen some especially exciting ones also.

Isn't it great that we can see butterflies from all over the place without ever leaving the couch? That one is very pretty, and if it's anything like the other crescents I'm guessing it was pretty small, too. Great picture, and great for you to spot it!

Yes, it is small, about the size of a Bordered patch. There were two of them and they are the only ones I have seen.
