I saw a alocasia at the Jackson agricultural research center in Jackson , TN. It had very narrow leaves that pointed straight up , so I am almost positive it was an alocasia, but the absolutely amazing characteristic was the stem. It was like a leopard print, not so much striped, but an actual printed stem. It was not Alocasia Sarian, either. Can anybody help me ID this one , cause I have just got to have it.
BRIAN , where are you? LOL
Thanks,
Sharon
HELP need name for striped stemmed alocasia
Probably is Alocasia tigrina superba. See this link:

sounds like tigrina superba if the leaf was a bit wider it would be zebrina. But zebrina seems a bit harder to find lately.
That is it , indeed. Thanks, Lari Ann and Brian
Now , where would one purchase this particular plant? I have got to have it!!!
