Look what's been eating the brugs right down to the veins of the leaves. Grrrrrr!

Yup! They are getting inside buds here! They grow big and fat on the developing bloom.. then they chew their way out and leave an empty bud.. I've got em bad. I found 7 buds on Whiskers that were housing those dang things!! The buds were at least 6" long and empty, except for poop and a big fat cat.

Yuck. They sure aren't pretty. I think army worms are my least favorite after tomato worms.

You say they are big and ugly but my peacocks say they are delicious.

LOL! Do your birds pick them off the plants or do you have to do that for them? I know those peacocks can peck hard. I would be afraid of lots of holes in the leaves. LOL!

I have had peafowl to pick cats off of plants but mostly I pick them and give them to ones in the pens that don't get to pick for themselves. They don't like Brugs so no problem with holes in the leaves.

Joyce, I am having the same problem here. I thought now that our weather has cooled that it would be the end of the problem, but it is like I am getting an entire new wave of these worms.

I hate em! By the time they are big enough to see, the bud is trash. This year has been a tuff one huh? Hope your feeling better Patricia!
