Per-Girl, I have about a dozen plants total in two pots. I grow it every year, but it seldom makes very many tubers for me. Fortunately, Nichols has been selling it every year for several years. You can find them in garden watchdog.
Their tubers are a mix of a number of varieties. I had separated out the red leaved red stemmed red tubered varieity and kept it going for a couple of years, but last year they died out. They are not hardy in my zone and don't set tubers well w/o a longer growing season than I can give it. D-mail me in aobut 2 months and I'll check to see if mine set enough to share. The tubers are delicious (yum!) but the stems don't taste good to me, even though edible. I'm stubborn and think I will eventually do better with them. Growing the plants is easy, but they fall over and start to get ugly in late summer.
If you order from Nichols, check out their yacon as well. Productive and delicious - very unusual plant as well.
krowten I checked out Nichols. They don't ship bulbs/tubers to Canada. I would luv to be kept in mind when you do have a few to share!

I've never shipped to Canada. Do you know how to do it and what is involved. Oca will be a challenge in Canada due to it's climate/day length issues. Oca is a big oxalis, so you may need some greenhouse space or artificial lighting for bulbs production. I've never been able to keep mine going in the house through a full winter with the indoors lower lighting level.
I want the one with yellow flowers. I have a green leaf with white flowers and a maltese like puple leaf with pink flowers but no yellow flowered ones.
