I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!! When will you be in San Antonio?

Lebanon, OR

Right after the AIS National Convention of 4-14 to 4-18 I think...then we will head toward SA from Austin.

San Antonio, TX

If you will be in San Antonio during the month of April not only will you get to see our River Walk in all it's plant glory but you will also be in for a real treat as we celebrate Fiesta Week during that month. There are tons of activities all month long but the culmination is Fiesta Week (last week of April) We have river parades, parades down town and an evening parade. Not to mention the Oyster Bake at St Mary's University as well as tons of other functions. You should really should do a look up online and get a full schedule for that time around March. This way you can select what you'd like to see. You wont be sorry cuz we know how to party!

If things go well for me I would be more than happy to invite you to see my humble garden. I had a very good year this year and hopefully alot of my aquisitions will return next year. Please keep my invitation and check with me in the spring.

Enjoy your convention!

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

If you have a chance to take a side trip, you might enjoy Fredericksburg. Or possibly I could meet you in San Antonio. I do get to go to the "big city" once in awhile.:) Fredericksburg is a big tourist attraction in Texas. There are lots of things going on from time to time. And the all-the-time things to do are the Nimitz Museum, Enchanted Rock park (huge granite rock worshipped by the Indians, wonderful park), Wildseed Farm, Lady Bird's Wildflower Center, and most years there are fields of bluebonnets in and around everywhere. It would be great to meet another Dger.:)

There is a real good bakery in Fredericksburg that I went to once and it has the best "Zucchini" bread I've ever had. Dont know the name of the place but the smells from it are wonderful; they should charge for a good whiff of their baked goods...............LOL

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, that might have been Dietz Bakery. It's on Main street right in the middle of downtown. West of downtown there's a place that used to be called The Old German Bakery. The business is still there, but it's called something else now. It's an awsome place for breakfast.
