I will soon be moving to Northeast Georgia and I have a VERY large H. australis ssp australis (it is climbing on a topiary form that is about 5 feet high) that may be too large to take with me. If there is someone in the Chicagoland area who would like to pick it up and add it to their collection, I would be happy to give it to them. It has lots of pendicules on it and should bloom very nicely in a month or so. Send me a D -mail if you are interested. I will be moving on October 27th.
Oh, I also have a 7 foot ficus that is looking for a new home.

Beautiful plant !! You lucky Girl.
WOW...how COOL!!! Lucky YOU!
Karen,
I'm so glad you were able to get it and that you like it!!!! Hope those peduncles give you lots of wonderfully fragrant flowers, too. It was so nice to visit with your hubby....a great guy that seems to enjoy feeding your "hoya addiction"...
Thanks for giving my "baby" a new and I know, wonderful, home.

Beautiful plant, congrats.
Awesome hoya Sistah K! I would have almost drove to Chicago to pick up that one! My motto is "will travel for hoyas".
Blessings,
Awanda
Awesome hoya!! How generous of you to give it a new home Sue! I think I would have let it sit on my lap all the way to GA! Who cares about seeing out the window? :0) And how lucky are you Karen?? To have been in the right state at the right time!! Congrats on that beauty! :))

Sue - she's blooming!! This is the first of about 20-30 peduncles ready to burst - this one only has two blooms, but the others have many more! Thanks again, Sue - I love this plant!
Karen
Edited to say that the fragrance is wonderful - I actually smelled it before I saw it!

Wow,Karen,
That is great! Looks like it is adapting very well to its new home and I'm so glad your DH was able to pick it up before we left.
Yesterday we made our final trip to Georgia with an 8 ft long, x 6 ft high, by 5 ft deep trailer FILLED with Hoyas and Orchids (and other misc plants). By the time we opened the boxes, two of my orchids and my thanksgiving cactus were blooming along with several of the hoyas. Guess they enjoyed the trip! I know we couldn't have fit even one more plant in that trailer, and our SUV was filled with two dogs, a rabbit and a bird!
I hope your plant continues to flourish and you get to enjoy that WONDERFUL scent of flowering australis....
