I have had 3 of those for 3 years and narry a bloom. They must be a slow-to-bloom one...but when they do...it looks soooo worth it.

Thanks to you all. When I went to the GH this morning it was filled with a sweet fragrance from the blooms. The umbel is fully open now. I'll take a few more pictures and post those later.

Carol - I got the plant at the University of South Florida's Botanical Garden Shop in October of 2005. It was in a 4" plastic container for $5.00. There is a fall plant sale on the garden grounds next weekend that I'll be going to. I always see what the USF shop has for sale when I'm there. They usually have great buys on hoyas.

Marcy - I had the plant on a back porch covered with greenhouse plastic for about a year or so. It grew well but no sign of blooms. I moved it to my greenhouse and let the vine run up to the top. My guess is that the increased light intensity got it to bloom. I believe it does require more light to bloom then some other hoyas. Carol could probably answer that question for us:)
