Not the best mother for Brugs, I admit it.

Either we are just not in the right area for Brugs, or I fail
to pay attention to their needs. In our area as well as the
next town, I know of only two homes with Brugs, at least
those one can see in passing.

Last year I babied a number of Brugs through the winter in
pots, then planted them in spring. We lost a few due to a surprise
snap, the rest survived but have remained sitting there doing nothing
more than leafing out.

Is it just that they are young, having been grown from cuttings,
and this first year they are just getting established? In brief, am
I expecting blooms too soon? Obviously they are not going to bloom
this year. Most of them are knee to waist high.

Perhaps I could relocate them to the yard in full sun where they
might be paid more attention?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Need to fertilize them a lot. Do you! Also, weather has a lot to do with their blooming. This has been a terrible year for me, drought too hot, very unusual for us. They are just now coming into their blooming cycle, since we've gotten rain and 80s. Just in time for frost! Sigh.....
