I had one and only one var. brug and now it has reverted back to all green. Does anyone know why this happens ? Can you do anything to make it go back. This has happened to other plants too (Turk's cap).
Var. brug turns all green
While I am here, does anyone have any extra cuttings of a var. one that I could trade or get. Love the var. leaves and not picky about names, a NOID would be fine.

I have a 1 gal. potted up Betty Marshall I would trade.
If there the entire plant has reverted to green, chances are that you won't the variegation back. The green portion will grow faster and be stronger because it has more chlorophyll, you need to remove it as soon as you spot it or it will outgrow the variegated mother plant. I've also noticed that a plant will regreen if the growing conditions are too harsh. Is the plant getting afternoon shade? I have/had a Snowbank that can't stand any direct sunlight or it will burn. I've been ill for the past 8 weeks and haven't been able to spend much time tending my Brugs.
Bettydee sorry you have been ill.. thinking of you..
Thank you, Twyla. I feel much better now, but am still behind in things I had to let slide. I had surgery to fix a GERD (reflux) problem and recovered from the surgery itself very quickly. The esophageal swelling upset my GI tract and I developed a lactose intolerence which took three weeks to track down. That cleared up some of the symptoms. The biggest culprit was one of my diabetic meds. Once I stopped taking it, I began to feel better and all the symptoms cleared up, but I was soooo sick for all that time.
glad to hear you are so much better.
