Here's our baby, Tip-Top. We got her one day when, while I was pruning a palm, she peeked out from the base and we knew we had to rescue her. We dropper-fed her with soy milk (no dairy!) and she grew like a weed. Now she's the family squirrel, loves to romp and play on the bed and in the kitchen, and is far more fun than any other rodent we've had. Besides, unlike mice, rats, etc., squirrels don't have bad odor, or any odor, not in the cage or on their persons. Why they weren't domesticated many years ago is a mystery to me, as they are so much more fun and have far more personality than any of the other pet rodents.
