Should Hens and Chicks be moved indoors for the winter?

Georgetown, IN(Zone 6a)

I live in zone 5 and have a brand new pot of Hens and chicks, should I plant them or keep them indoors till spring?

I leave mines outside and they do fine. In fact, after being buried in snow last winter, one of them decided to flower.. LOL.. Hope you realize, the momma dies after flowering. But she puts out new chicks before she flowers or dies..

thank you, I will plant them then

lcosden I didn't know that about the mother dying after she flowered. I have three huge pots of Hens and Chicks. They flowered last year first time and I didn't even know they would put out a flower. They stay outside all year round and I never water them only moisture they get is from rain.

2pugdogs.. I didn't know before that before mine flowered this year either. I had mine in a large container by itself. That's how I found about about that.. After the mom sent out the flower, you can noticably see the mom getting smaller and smaller. But the chicks did get noticable larger as the time went on.. I'd say my chicks were as large as mom originally was by the time the flower was done. So, you might not have even noticed the mom dying if you have them close together in a pot..
