I have a Musa laterita that is the same color, but LariAnn might be right, I think beccarii is more common.

It's hard for me to say. I read the description and it said they get quite tall before blooming and take 9-12 mo to bloom? This has only been in the ground since April and is only maybe 3-4 ft tall.
