favorite water soluble fertilizer

My favorite, Peter's Blossom Booster, has been discontinued. I called the phone on the box and they recommended Schultz's. What is your favorite?

I used to use Excel professional 15-5-15, but that required buying a gigantic industrial size bag and paying shipping. Brugs are supposed to prefer the lower middle number. Now I just use the Miracle Grow with the low middle number. I'm trying not to sweat the small stuff and just enjoy them instead of too much fussing and freting.

Like Mary, I use the new Miracle Grow with the lower middle number. Works very well for my brugs. and hibiscus, and I think the entire garden. I put so much other stuff on my garden I really do not know what to attribute good growth and flowering to...may be the combination. But I know Miracle Grow works well for pots. The only plant I have a special fertilizer for is Dahlia.

I thought the middle number was the one that made them bloom more. Isn't N=nitrogen, P=phospates, k=potassium? or do I have the p and k reversed?

Brugmansias need more nitrate, potassium and minors than phosphate. Nitrogen, potassium and calcium are washed out every time, you water your plants throroughly. The phosphate builds up in the soil each time you fertilize, so that is why you need a lower number on the phosphate. I got this information from Monika. I think her brugs are awesome. Someone mentioned on one of the threads that it is good to add lime. I think I would only do that if your soil is acid or if you are using soiless mix for potting.

I used FertiSorb on my Datura this spring and they were over the top.

Never heard of FertiSorb. Where do you get it?

Off the website, www.fertisorb.com. It has reviews in the Garden Watchdog.

madina organic comes in 2 formulas one higher in nitrogen and one higher in phosphates (the middle number)

Our soil here is very low in phosphates and very acid so I have to account for that when I garden.
