Hello what a lucky find. And getting blooms sweet!
Yes it is a very lucky find kimarj I really love it I can not wait for it to bloom.........
Pensacola garden, I checked out your wants list. It is pretty ambitious, in fact many are not even in the country. I have over 160 brugs, and non from your list.
Many of these more elite brugs are "MUCH" more difficult to grow. It has only been the last few months that I would allow myself to invest in the more expensive fancy brugs. Had lot of learning to do before I would spend the money. Never fails, you can get a cuttings of an old stand by, stick it in some dirt and it takes off like crazy and blooms it's head of. Then you go out and spend a lot of money on one and spend the next year pampering it in hopes of a flower. There are some wonderful American doubles that are showing great promise for flowering and growth and new ones blooming every day. Daydreams, creamsickle, Golden lady, Adeline and more are wonderful tried and tested doubles. Golden lady is my favorite of these, she blooms all summer, wonderful fluffy blossoms. You will have much better luck getting people to offer cuttings from these and then you can create some of your own crosses. These brugs are also readily avaialble on ebay from reputable sellers at very good prices, many times in ready to bloom size.
It is great to dream, and we all have ones we want, I know I have a short wants list. But good things are worth waiting and working for. Good luck in your quest.
Your insignis pink is lovely, it was one of my first, it never let me down.
Yes I know I have golden lady daydreams pick perfektion and adeline they are growing well from cuttings I hope they continue to grow well.........
