Fresh Lima beans?

Camanche, IA(Zone 5a)

Years and years ago, My mom fixed fresh picked Lima beans out of my dad's garden. I got so hungry for Lima beans that I planted a row, Now I am looking for ideas on how to fix them. My mom made like a butter sauce, I don't know how much butter, with water?, milk? or veg stock out the can. How about a mild garlic sauce? Does anyone have any ideas? How do you fix beans, for a side dish, with meat and potatoes? I also have some Florida Butter beans, Can anyone help? Thank You if you come up with any ideas?? Phil
