The new Fraterna

Long Beach, CA

I haven't seen any posts on the newest Fraterna. Maybe you all got yours earlier or not at all, but I just got mine the other day and have been reading it. Lots of neat stuff including an article with pictures by Gerbrand Caspers of the hoya collections at Leiden University. There is also a picture of a flower in the Gallery that I find most intriguing. It is H. bicolor Kloppenburg. I would love to get that, but really never heard of it. Very pretty. Anyway, did you all get Fraternas yet?

I just got mine, Marcy - haven't had time to really look at it yet. Plan on that tomorrow!

Got mine... That H. bicolor IS very pretty. Mine bloomed this summer. Ted thinks it may be just another clone of H. crassicaulis but I don't care....the flowers are wonderful!!!

Marcy I love the leaves on H. bicolor Kloppenburg. Mine has put on lots of growth, but no flowas yet. I received my Fraterna also, haven't had time to read it yet.

What a good issue! The article by Gerbrand Caspers was particularly nice.
