In Zone 8a (almost b during a good winter), does anyone leave these in the ground or do you think I need to bring them in? I brought them up from FL and I'm thinking of going ahead and putting them in the ground in a protected southern spot. I got them last year in FL and they didn't bloom there or grow much but they were in blazing sun. I brought the tubers up here in a pot and I think I'd like to plant them in the ground. What do you think?

PF lists it as hardy to 8b, so I think you've got a good chance, maybe just give it an extra thick layer of mulch for the winter
I grow them in a large pot and leave the pot outdoors overwinter in a protected spot. In ground, I would not be scared but I would mulch them for winter. BTW, I find these bloom far better after being established for a few years. If you were to dig them up, they would probably be slow to bloom again in the spring.
Thanks to you both!
