Meet my Jamie....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is a brug that Gary sent me last fall. It didn't do much over the winter and I honestly was afraid it wasn't going to even grow. It isn't huge, but I'll bet it has at least a hundred buds on it right now. I love the yellow blooms. Thanks Gary.

Wow ♥♥♥♥

Looks just like Maya tri-color leaves and all but with yellow blooms and we all know that Maya is one of my all time favs ☺

Very pretty.

Mine died, I really liked it, but don't think it liked NY.

WOW brugie that is just beautiful

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

I still cannot visualize a hundred blooms. Love the foliage

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Beautiful flower, Shirley. I did not appreciate Jamie or Jamie's Monkey Business until I bought them as a surprise gift for my friend, Jamie, and grew them until they started blooming. Before giving them away, I took cuttings as I like the color and form of the flowers.

Oh My Goodness!!! That is to die for. Actually, the foliage reminds me of Snowbank, but that's not the issue here. The color of the blooms is awesome. I'm guessing you're still trialing it?

That is just absolutely amazing, and can't wait for it to become available on the market!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. Felicia, I've seen it for sale on eBay several times. Tussee, did you have any trouble rooting this one?

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Apparently, I've been on e-bay at the wrong times. Will defintely keep an eye out for this one.

Hopefully, Tussee didn't have any problems rooting this one, as I'm sure it is a must have in her incredible garden. :)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I love the flower but also love the vareigated foliage. I with you Indiana-lily it is one to look for.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Shirley, I had no trouble rooting either of the Jamies, but I was able to take sucker growth from both. Perhaps that helped.

Thanks Tussee. Mine only has white sports right now. I may have to cut a branch and root it in case the mother plant doesn't survive the winter in the garage.
I'll share next year, but since the plant is small, I hate to cut on her this year. There wouldn't be a lot of good wood to root.

Felicia, B. Jamie was listed today on ebay. Good Luck!

I think that Jamie was a sport of Charles Grimaldi, which is why it roots so easy and has that rich color. We got one from Gary but lost it last winter. I will get it again someday.

Thanks for the info, Tussee. Bidding right now would not be a good thing -- but thanks again for the head's up. :)

I love Jamie! Such a pretty yellow flower! She can take a LOT of sun too. Here she is after a major haircut.

My Jamie has a few buds developing, did not realize until late in the season how much more sun this plant can handle. Also much more resistant to the Brug scrourge...MITES.I have had a sickening season with mites on every brug except Jamie, and she sits in the middle of it.The only thing attacking it.. caterpillars..
Wish someone with the know how would breed Brugs to be BUG repellent. That would be more invaluable than a quad flowering blue brug to me!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You are right about the sun. Mine has been in almost full sun all summer and I think it would take totally full sun. I did have mites on mine this summer. No cats tho. LOL!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Shirley its really super, great pictures.

did not work for me.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Shes's a real pretty one, someone needs to come up with another pink variegated one, besides Miners Claim.... Shirley? ......... And thanks for the character map lesson, too!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think it will be a matter of waiting for another pink brug to sport a nice one. I sure wouldn't know how to do it or if it can even be done. Sorry. LOL!

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

wouldn't everyone love to have this one? A double pink variegated. Of course it's in Germany, but one can dream.... its name is "Wupperstolz"
