I'm going to try this and hope I don't upset anyone so here we go.................I am looking for the following pairs or trios and am located in Georgia. I prefer not to have them shipped but will consider it if needed. Looking for: (all Bantams) Blue, Blue Splash, RedBlue, & Mille Fleur. I have 1 young pair of White Japs for Trade or willing to sell so I can get some of the above. Will also have some feathered legged little ones in another couple of weeks (I have some biddys that are ready to go but not sure what they will look like, if you want to take a chance I am willing to let them go now). I may also have a couple of other singles (roosters) that I will let go, not sure yet. I will try to attach a pic of the white japs.
Wanted and For sale or trade
Just FYI because I know you're new, it's probably a lot better to either check the FAQ section or ask in the Dave's Garden Forum any questions about what is or isn't allowed in posts.
This is from the FAQ
http://davesgarden.com/faq/forums/#136
According to our Acceptable Use Policy, members of our forums can use only the Classified Ads forum to promote themselves, their websites (personal or commercial), advertise goods/services they sell, seek employment or employees, or solicit donations for charities or fundraisers. Self-promotion posts in any other forums may be removed by our administrators.
The cost for a two-week ad is $5 (US) and includes a full-color photo. Classified ads are fully accessible to all visitors, members and subscribers of Dave's Garden.
You are welcome to offer plants, seeds or bulbs for exchange within the appropriate trading forums, but you may not advertise goods or services for sale, whether they're plant, seed, or otherwise within those forums.
You can use your homepage to link to your company or personal website among your "favorite sites", if you wish.
I think it's acceptable to offer stuff for trade. People offer to trade plants, seeds, bulbs and other stuff for gardening stuff all the time in all the forums.
To be honest you'll probably get a quicker and better response at backyardchickens.com in the buy~sell~trade~giveaways section of the message board. Most stuff doesn't seem to last long there. And then no worries about who gets ruffled feathers.
Good luck and hope you find what you're looking for !!!

Thank you Julie. This is why I posted the other tread to see if it was ok and only 1 responded. If people had a problem with it they should have let me known then instead of waiting till I posted and getting their feathers in a bunch. I will check out the link and see what is going on there. If not I will just look local and try to find and sell or trade what I need. I just would have loved to check some little ones from out of state as too many are being crossed back.
I don't think hart in Va had ruffled feathers or anything but the offer to sell is inappropriate. the offer to trade is probable fine. It is better to go to trading places. I too have chickens for trade but they don't seem to have near the appeal as I'd expect. Bantams are cute but ..... personally I have no use for them since they're basically hawk & falcon bait around here. I don't and won't consider providing much shelter for the poultry since the Game Fowl I have don't need it and they provide all the thrills of owning chickens without the bother of maintenance.
My point was that asking here wasn't the best place to get a response. Not all of us read every single thread as soon as it's posted and apparently everyone doesn't know that most questions about what's appropriate for posting can be found in the FAQ.
My feathers weren't in a bunch at all until I was accused of having ruffled feathers. I was trying to help you. So much for good intentions.
I never once said or accused Hart or anyone else in particular of having ruffled feathers.
If you read his first line he says he hopes he doesn't upset anyone. I make a suggestion regarding his posting and state then he doesn't have to worry about who gets ruffled feathers.
Had I planned on pointing a finger at someone trust me I'd have made it very clear. So I can only apologize that my post was misunderstood, but I wouldn't change the wording.

Julie, I'd suggest you read the fourth post up from Bubbles and you'll see that it's pretty obvious I was responding to that post, not yours. Sheesh.
Hart,
I read all of the posts. I was responding to my phrasing being used and trying to clear up my intention with my original post. This post is addressed to you, none of my others have been directed specifically to you. Had I been directing the previous post to you I would have addressed you properly.
I'm not here to debate, I don't have the time or energy to waste on useless squabbles. And this will be the last I post on this subject as I feel it is over.
Julie
Good, because I'm still stumped as to why you're all angry and trying to make this into a squabble over something that wasn't addressed to you at all. And that's all I have to say on what has become a pretty ridiculous situation. LOL
Fall is in the air....with the gloomy hint of impending winter. Grrrrrr.
Hey Bubbles! Welcome to DG! We're not allowed to mention selling things on DG. It's a fair rule because there are soooo many people and it could get ugly in a hurry. That is why a Classified forum was offered with ads being very inexpensive! I think there is a link on the poultry homepage.
Offering a trade is perfectly fine though! I wish all the people with different birds didn't live so far away! I have extra duplicate birds and would love to trade to add some different breeds! I think I'd feel a bit guilty chucking a 5 pound bird in the mail. :) I do it with plants all the time though.
Happy birding!
