help on my new arboricola?

San Angelo, TX(Zone 7b)

Hi everyone- I just got this new plant on clearance at Walmart. It's in a 10" pot and needs to be transplanted. I get afternoon sun in my front. I was going to plant it out front as a bush, but the sun was too hard on it. The leaves started to droop so I brought it back inside. Will it do o.k. inside and how should I go about making it happy?
Thanks, Elizabeth

It will do fine indoors. It may drop some leaves but it should rebound after that. Give it some good light, water lightly through winter, and move it outdoors for summer. They use these as shrubs in Florida and the tropics so they can take a lot of sun and some drought apparently. I chopped mine back harshly last year and propagated a few extras so it is a tough plant.

Thank you.
