Is anyone going to the Bird Fanciers Club sale/swap sunday Sept 30? Its at the Lamoille County Fairgrounds in Johnson VT. Or has anyone ever been there before? I was thinking of checking it out. I believe it is for poultry since the sign was in the local feed store.

LOL I went to the Hopkinton Fair here in NH all excited to see all the show the chickens, brought my camera and 6 extra batteries and basically there was silkies, and not show qualities ones, most if not all for sale. and a couple of others, I was so dissapointed. I did see was looked like a silkie crossed with a silver sebright, quite unique looking I got an ok pic of it, I will try to post it soon
hey lora! maybe I'll check it out! I'm going to the deerfield fair this weekend. There are always lots of chickens there. And the NH poultry fanciers show is next weekend, I believe!

Hopkinton was such a disappointment, I even complained (It was to my Mom who works for the fair). I think next year I want to go to the Lancaster fair and try my hand at showing. It will give me something to do LOL. Everyone around here is doing good. We did lose on turkey a while back and another was coming up lame so I found him a home that could put him thier freezer if it came down to it, I didn't want to waste him and I have cleaned and plucked but never did the deed.
I was spurred by Red the Terror, he's one of the silkies I got from Ideal, not good for showing, his waddles and everything are bright red like my marans, the lil terror attacked me from behind it took me a minute to figure out what he had done. Everyone free ranges now. They all go into the house for the night.
Everyone slows down when they pass my house to check out what is on the front lawn! Those guineas are so funny, it like a wave of guineas running towards you when you go side, they expect treats! I LOVE having poultry no more waste they eat everything and keep my lawn trimmed! I haven't been online much things got CRAZY around here, basement that was packed with cardboard boxes of unpacked stuff totally flooded. I had to go through everything so I organized and cleaned out everything, a couple of dumpster loads later and I huge yard sale Saturday I will be free of clutter!!

Yeah, let's do it! When I go to deerfield fair tomorrow I will see when the show is. Last year it was held at the deerfield fairgrounds the next sunday after the fair.

I will be leaving Woodsville to go there, which route will you be taking? I am going to map quest it right now I know its on rte 100c in Johnson VT
Ok I am leaving here and taking 91 north to exit 21. I would love to carpool, I would like to bring my dogs though so if you want to meet there at certain time let me know. I think you will be taking 91 it probably is the fastest way. We cleared out the basement with a yardsale today so I have cash that is burnin' a hole in my pocket! Wow talk about getting rid of a bunch of stuff!! And NOTHING came back into the house its boxed up at the end of the drive with free signs on it! Email me either way!
