SEEDS TO TRADE!!!

Central Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Hello,

I have Sabal minor (Dwarf Palmetto, Bluestem Palmetto, Blue Palm) seed for trade. It’s coming to fruition and has many seeds.

I would like to get banana seed, palm seed, bamboo seed or plants, etc. Let me know what you have and we might be able to work something out.

Dean

I still have Dwarf Palmetto seed (Sabal minor) left. It is the form that doesn’t get the thorns on the palm fronds like the Saw Palmetto.

what i think you have is sabal minor. those grow wild all ove the place here, as do saw palmeto. all saw palmetto have serrated frond stems.

diehrdsouthrnr,

You may be very well right. I may have been confused w/ the Palmetto palm part of the name. I’ll go back and edit my post.

Ya! me too.

I think Bamboo seeds something like once every 50 years or something like that. Your chances of getting bamboo seeds are very slim.

Yes, there are some types that are available now though. Buddha Belly seed, Moso seed, Water Bamboo seed are available on E-bay. Some times bamboo dosen't flower for 100 years.

Really? I would like some buddha belly seed. That's a clumper isn't it? I don't know how trust worthy the people on Ebay are though.

Just found a guy on Ebay that has around 13,000 sales under his belt. LOL, think he may be reliable.

I would guess so.LOL!

I just figured there might be someone here that might have extra seeds.
