Zoysia in the compost?

My yard came with zoysia when we bought it. I'm constantly pulling runners out of my flower bed mulch. I just received my compost tumbler, and want to know if i can put these runners in the compost? I would just be sick if I was spreading the zoysia without knowing it.

Putting the zoysia runners in your compost bin should not be a problem. I have zoysia and know what your talking about. Its lovely grass but, loves to run.
