Foot and ankle pain

Does anyone know what to do for pain in the foot, that runs up across the foot, where your foot would bend sideways? Mine started hurting Thurs, and I don't remember doing anything to it. I have soaked it in epson salts and rubbed it with deep heat and taken IB profin, nothing seems to work much, It is especially sore in the morning. I hate going to the Dr. they would probably give arthritis meds and some of them are worse on you then the pain. I have had lots of trouble with my feet this year, I know age is one factor, and working on cement floors all my life is another. Open for any sugestions.
