Why is it I like all the weird plants
I have the onese above and love them as well. My weirdest vine Thunbergia mysorensis. Mine has yet to bloom, so here is a pic from DF.

Another vine a really would like to get is Passiflora membrenacea (sp?), so cool.

Call me wierd too I have the first two as well. Mine are small and haven't bloomed for me yet but they will one day.
I love the Lapageria!! The Botanical gardens in San Francisco has a whole collection of these with many glorious color combinations. If they did mail order I would have one of each but they don't. I have tried seeds a couple of times but not much luck. How do you grow yours and have you ever started them by seed or cuttings?

Thank you all so much. I do enjoy unusal plants. I got the Lapageria from
Hortus Botanicus. It was sort of expensive but a great plant. I had never even seen one before except here on DG and had to have it.lol Now to go find Thunbergia mysorensis.

Linda, if you want some more Lapagerias, UC Berkeley Bot. Garden always has a ton of them at their plant sales, and the fall sale is next Sunday. Berkeley Horticultural Nursery often carries them as well, but the Garden's prices are better and they have more varieties.
