CLOSED: Caladium - Florida Sweetheart to trade

Pearisburg, VA(Zone 7a)

I have a 5 gallon bucket full of FL Sweethearts I dug up yesterday. The roots are white and very healthy. I can't overwinter them here and would like to trade for perennials. Tall Phlox, coneflowers (not white, basic pink, or yellow), or other long blooming perennials for full sun.
NO lilies, canna, dahlia, seeds, glads, iris or daylily. ....have plenty of these.

They will be in much small quantity once they dry off some and the dirt is settled. I will post later today the exact number I have.

I have Solomon's seal.

You're still in a zone to dig and overwinter these - I don't think that's something fun.

I'm leaving in 2 weeks for cocoa bch where we spend the next 7 months. I think that's fun and I'm still interested

Ok you would plant them in cocoa bch? Do you have anything else for trade? If you are planting in FL I could mail them to FL after you get there and maybe you could find a cone flower or ? there to send back here?

I am drying my coneflower seeds now and will bring them with me, I could dig a plant, but they are pretty big, did you want to spend $7.00 +? for postage?

Pearisburg, VA(Zone 7a)

It's going to cost me about that much money to send you the caladiums. Have you sent plants before? You dig them, wash off all the dirt, cut the tops back and wrap the roots well in damp newpaper or paper towels. Then put in a plastic bag and mail priority.

It's going to cost me at least $7 to ship these bulbs - that's the trade part. We ship plants as trade and accept the postage ourself as the price of the plant.

Do you have some caladiums left?
I would love to try these next year in my new gardens.
I have hot lips turtlehead, magnus coneflower, assorted tall and groundcover sedum cuttings including neon, hopewell, autumn fire, matrona. I also have named and unnamed hostas, some beautiful borage, joe pye, bleeding hearts, wire vine, cherry bells campanula, hens & chicks, and variegated petasites, shown in the pic.
Interested?

Theresa, I have a few left. Would you have another coneflower besides magnus? I have have 3 but have a huge desire to coneflowers - newest thrill. I'm also looking for tall phlox. I just bought a Joe Pye but I could take another. These are beautiful caladiums!

I can spare a some of my David tall phlox, and lots of joe pye. I dont have any other coneflower that is big enough to share. This spring I got Double Delight and cant wait to see it bloom.
Please let me know what you would like to do :)

I just found my Caladiums still in the bags from last spring. They are still firm and have short roots 1/2 inch. Should i plant them now or wait until next year? Thanks for answer.
