plumie inflos that grow similar to branches.

Tucson, AZ

okay, notice that i did not say inflos that turn into branches. LOL has anyone seen inflos that appear to have an indeterminate amount of buds? i have this inflo that has what i call bud scars. it puts out a set of blooms on each branch of the inflo. all the while the branch is elongates. then another node appears with more buds. i know that i have seen this before. for some reason it's more dramatic on the caribbean seedling.

Dete, they all elongate as they bloom, don't they? Some to a larger degree than others, I think. The more mature ones do anyway. Here's an inflo on 'Duke' that formed last November.

Some inflo's have been going all spring and summer:

Some plumies just have large inflo's that keep growing; but even the small ones keep growing and producing too until they are all done.

I had lots of old inflo's start blooming again in the spring that started last year and are still going. They spent the whole winter outside too.
