Any one here from NNY, have brugs to share

Watertown, NY

I usually post cuttings this time of year and ship to others. last week I had a heart attack so this year I have to keep it simple. I have 5 to 6 foot tall daybreak, jamaca yellow, insignis pink, apricot reise(probably 7 feet) to give away. I have many many other wonderful brugs, but need to find new homes for these. If you live near enough to come pick them up please PM me, I just hate to leave them out to freeze. I may have more to share before winter comes. Have to see how much room I have and how much help I get getting everything put away.

Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear that you have had a bad health problem. I hope everything will be okay. Wish I were closer so I could help you. Take care of yourself. If you don't have takers for the brugs....don't let it bother you. Your health is more important than finding homes for them. I'll be thinking about you. Be well.

I am doing okay. I just hate to leave brugs out for the cold. I have 165 plants from seedlings to 8 foot tall trees. Everyone is precious to me. sure wish I could find some homes for a few.

Oh well, guess I will have to live with it. I wish you where all here tonight so smell this yard. i have about 20 filled with blooms, it is wonderful.

I have not given up, have posted locally with some swaps sights, but so far all of the emails are from people wanting to know what they are.

Thanks to all for the well wishes, I just need to get through the next feed weeks. It is very hard to have to slow down so fast. guess I need to listen to my body a little better.

My former boss is from the Watertown area (Copenhagen). She often goes up to visit her family. If you don't mind, I could ask if she would mind picking up some brugs - I have a greenhouse and could overwinter them. I'd be happy to pay for them, if she can pick them up.

Watertown, NY

I live about 5 miles from copenhagen, that would be great. I think you would be happy, they are nice big healthy plants. which brugs do you have. I can set aside the ones you don't have. I have one lady who is thinking of coming after 2 or 3.

I know I have Apricot Reise, KBS, spring peach, a wonderful no name that looked so much like another from the same pod it didn't get named, it is orange, Super nova, and more, it is late and I am tired. I also need to cut a huge branch from versi peach if you want it.

Please let me know as soon as possible. Please remember frost comes much earlier here in NNY.

You may know the family then - Kehoe? Lots of children and they are just wonderful people.
I don't have many - Ecuador Pink, a Rothschild cross and Island Girl. I can overwinter them, and if you want them back next year, I'll just take a cutting and send them on to Watertown. I'll call today and see if a visit to Copenhagen is planned.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Kehoe's from saugerties i know........lol

Amsterdam, NY(Zone 5a)

I wouldn't doubt but it is the same family.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

lol that is to much i know kevin and kera they may be .........

Watertown, NY

No, I don't know them. The plants I am giving away I do not need back. I have so many and am not keeping any I can't use in my breeding program. I have over 60 seedlings started this year, all wonderful crosses and I have to keep all of them. I also have to keep all that have seed pods. I also added about 30 new ones this year that will be staying. The ones I am giving away are all either ones that I have extras of, ones I have take a basal shoot from to winter over or some that just look so much like others I am cutting back.

When I first got started I took every brug I could get my hands on. Now I try to be more selective. I do a lot of crosses so want to eliminate any that have used a lot or am just not what I am looking for. Hybridizing makes for a lot of seedlings.

Joan will be in Copenhagen on Oct. 19. If that's too late, her sister is going to pick them up and care for them. What's your pleasure? And I am happy to pay for them, if you would like.

Watertown, NY

The 19'th could be a little late, it's the frost thing. I will be getting scheduled for surgery Oct 8 so I may well need to have them gone before that. I am not worried about payment. Now how big a vehicle will they have, some of these brugs are big.

If the sister could come by this weekend it would be good. I gave two to a lady I work with yesterday, but still have plenty of the ones I need adopted.

I will PM you my phone number so she can call me to let me know when she is coming.

Now I have to find pots for the ones that are planted in the ground. I had plenty in the spring, but all of my little plants grew so much all of my big pots are full.
